Madison swam competitively for 12 years in the Cumming area. Distance is her wheelhouse, and her favorite event is the mile. You heard correctly: RACING. FOR. ONE. MILE. The last 6 years she coached and instructed ages 4-13 how to execute strokes correctly, and have fun while doing it. She has her USA swim coaching certification, and of course, her current BLS/CPR.
Madison is a graduate of North Forsyth High School, and currently works at Chestatee Elementary School with Pre-K and Kindergarten students in their after school program. She also interns there where she is a mentor to one of the special needs students. And on Sundays, you can find her volunteering in the preschool environment at Browns Bridge Church, where she and her family attend. I guess you could say she likes kids! (And long swims) In the fall, Madison will be attending the University of North Georgia Dahlonega to study Biology, with the end game of a career in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
” I love getting to know the kids and seeing their skills improve! ” – Madison
